Each Mechanical Breakdown Protection contract comes fully loaded with additional benefits(inclusive of taxes) that will also help reduce your repair costs in the event of a covered repair. Here’s what is covered:

Trip Interruption (Available on all plans)

In the event of a breakdown which occurs more than 100 kilometres from your home and results in a repair facility keeping your vehicle overnight, we will pay or reimburse you for receipted motel and restaurant expenses up to $100 per day for a maximum of 3 days. The total benefit per breakdown shall not exceed $300.

24 Hour Roadside Assistance (Available on all plans)

Each Kia Protect Mechanical Breakdown Protection (MBP) contract comes with 24 Hour Roadside Assistance for the term you have purchased. Here’s what is offered:

• Towing
• Battery Boost
• Tire Change
• Winching
• Fuel Delivery
• Lockout Service

A maximum of $100 per occurrence applies to all 24 Hour Roadside Assistance Coverage.

Car Rental Benefits (Available on all plans)

In the event of a covered breakdown you are entitled to rent a replacement vehicle (from a licensed rental agency or a Kia dealership's rental program) while your vehicle is being repaired. Coverage will be provided to you up to a maximum of $50 per day for each 8 labour hours to a maximum of $200 for each repair visit. In addition, a maximum of 3 days rental coverage will be provided for an engine or transmission parts delay.

Kia Canada Claim-Free Reward Benefit (Available on select New Vehicle plans only)

What can be better than getting a refund if you claimed no benefits from Kia Protect MBP On select New Vehicle plans, in the event you have not filed any claims or received any additional benefits during your contract term, Kia Protect MBP will provide a choice of the following:

• Coupon for the total value of the contract purchased for a new Kia Protect MBP contract; or
• Issuing dealer credit up to $2,000; or
• Refund cheque of up to $1,000.

Deductible Waiver Benefit (Available on Certified Plus plans only)

We will provide you with the same deductible amount under your certified vehicle warranty term as you have selected under your Certified Plus Plan contract. In the event of a covered breakdown under your certified vehicle warranty term we will pay the difference, if one exists, between your selected deductible under your Certified Plus Plan contract and the amount you are required to pay for a deductible for your certified vehicle warranty claim.

Transferable (Available on all plans)

You may transfer the remaining term of your Kia Protect MBP to another private purchaser while your contract is still in force. A fee may apply for transferring your contract.
